invites the Senior Amateur Golfers of the County Unions of Cambridgeshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire, Shropshire & Herefordshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire, and Worcestershire to participate in the Midland Senior Championship.

Entrants must have attained the age of 55 years on or before the day of the Championship. Hold a CONGU ‘active’ handicap and the limit will be 7 for Age Group 55-59; 8 for 60-64; 11 for 65-69; 12 for 70-74; and 15 for age 75 and over.

Entry Fee £35 per player. Club Team £10.00 per pair (optional)

Entries close Friday 29th June 2012.

Entry fee will not be returned for any withdrawal after closing date.

PRACTICE

The club has kindly agreed to allow the competitors a courtesy practice round prior to the championship by arrangement with the Professional shop in the two weeks prior to the event.

Course planners are available from the Professional. Cost  £2.00.

REGISTRATION

The MGU desk will be situated by the front entrance in the Lounge/bar area.

CATERING

Bacon rolls and coffee etc will be available from 07.30am on a cash sale basis.

A two course meal with coffee is included in the entrance fee for all competitors. A meal ticket will be issued to every competitor when returning his scorecard to the MGU desk, if any additional meals are required for caddies, wives etc. tickets should be purchased from the MGU desk on registration.

DRESS

Clubhouse:  Smart casual.

Course:  Normal golfing attire, knee length or plain white sport socks ( NOT trainer socks ) may be worn if wearing tailored shorts.

SAFETY AND SECURITY

Procedure for suspension of play for any reason will be issued with the scorecard.

Please be vigilant with security of your golf equipment and your personal effects as neither Longcliffe Golf Club nor the Midland Golf Union Ltd can accept any responsibility for theft or accident. Competitors are strongly advised to have their own insurance cover.

DMD’s & MOBILE PHONES

Only DMD’s that calculate distance are permitted.  Those providing other information such as wind speed, elevation, temperature etc are NOT permitted. If, during a ‘stipulated round’ a player fails to comply with these conditions, the player is in breach of Rule 14.3 for which the penalty is disqualification. Mobile phones are allowed on the course but should be switched off and only used in an emergency.
