invites the Senior Amateur Golfers (55 and over) of the County Unions of Cambridgeshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire, Shropshire & Herefordshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire, and Worcestershire to participate in the

MIDLAND SENIOR AUTUMN MEETING

TO BE PLAYED AT THE CHASE GOLF CLUB - STAFFORDSHIRE

ON TUESDAY 18th SEPTEMBER 2018

Entrants must have attained the age of 55 years on or before the day of the Championship. Hold a CONGU ‘active’ handicap and the limit will be 12.4.

THE EVENT

Title: Midland Senior Autumn Tournament

Format: 18 Holes scratch medal (Gross & Nett prizes)

Number of competitors: 80 to 100 (to be confirmed 3rd September 2018)

Starting Times: 08:00am   (9-minute intervals with two starters times included)

Tees: 1st only

Time course closed to members: Until 3.00pm

 

CATERING

Meal Tickets where appropriate will be issued to players who have pre-paid for a meal.

All other food ordered are on a cash sale basis.

Bacon roll plus coffee/Tea will be available from 7:00am onward for £3.00

A small breakfast will be available from 7:00am onward for £5.00

A large breakfast will be available from 7:00am onward for £6.50

A hot meal of steak pie and chips will be available from 12:00noon onward for £10.00 for all players who have not pre-booked a meal.

 

DRESS REGULATIONS

Clubhouse: Smart casual, collared shirts (No waterproofs)

Course: Normal golfing attire, golf shoes, tailored shorts with sport socks

 

MGU ADMINISTRATION

The MGU registration desk will be located in the “Nines” bar 

The MGU scoreboard will be located in the main Club house bar area. 

The leaderboard will also be available on the MGU website

 

HEALTH & SAFETY

First Aid: General staff. Defib unit in office

In the event of thunder and lightning the MGU has a klaxon and will take responsibility: MGU hand held klaxons and storm monitor. Club have hand held klaxon.

Players should be aware of the Road crossings around the course and to be aware of public walkways.

 

CAR PARKING

Ample parking available

 

THE COURSE

Tees to be used: White

Players will be issued with a pin position chart on the registration desk.

Yardage markers on the course are discs at 200 yards, 150 yards and 100 yards and posts at 150 yards, all to centre of greens.

 

PRACTICE

Practice rounds will be available after the competition closing date and will be subject to availability. To be arranged through Matt Southwell.
