THE EVENT

Title: U16 Boys County Cup

Format: 18-hole scratch medal Team event

Number of competitors: 60

Starting Times: 10.00am

Tees: 1st Tee

Time course closed to members: 9:30am to 1:40pm

 

CATERING

All players will be provided with a meal of Burger and chips with a glass of squash on completion of their round.

Bacon rolls and coffee will be available from 9:00am at a cost of £tbc

There will be a simple bar menu available until 6:00pm on a cash sale basis.

All other foods ordered are on a cash sale basis.

 

DRESS REGULATIONS

Clubhouse: Smart casual – No waterproofs No golf shoes in clubhouse.

Course:  Normal golfing clothing, no shorts allowed

 

MGU ADMINISTRATION

The MGU registration desk will be positioned at the end of the main lounge.

The MGU recorders desk will be located in the match & handicaps room. All cards to be returned direct to the recorders desk.               

The MGU scoreboard will be positioned in the end of the main lounge. The leaderboard will also be available on the MGU website.               

 

HEALTH & SAFETY

First Aid provided by the club include 2 bar staff, Karl Adams, Green keepers

There are wooden shelters on the course.      

In the event of thunder and lightning the MGU have a klaxon and will take responsibility: MGU have storm monitor and hand-held klaxons. Club system in place.

 

THE COURSE

Tees to be used: White

Yardage Markers on the course are posts at 100 yards and 150 yards to centre of greens.

Players note: there is a bell on the 10th hole to signal to following players it is safe to play.

 

PRACTICE

A practice round will be available after 1pm on Saturday 20th October for distant counties (club competition in morning)

Other counties to visit in week prior to competition all arranged through the Proshop. Practice facilities would be available all day on 20th October.
