Trentham Golf Club welcomed the players to the last 2024 Midland Seniors event. The sun was out and the course was in great condition.
Early starter John Hall (Brocton Hall GC) shot 74 gross which proved to be the best of the day. With Matt Dale (Newcastle-under-Lyme GC) another earlier starter the best of the rest with 76, beating Trentham GC member Robert Parkes on countback. In the higher age group 62 and over the best gross was by Robert Aston (Trentham Park GC) with 76, beating Steve Toyne (Blankney GC) on countback. The best nett scores were by Colin Heard (Stone GC) with 72 and Mark Scarrett (The Leicestershire GC) with 75. Charles Banks (Stanton-on-the-Wolds GC) won the Brian Morris Trophy with a aggregate score of 158 (73+85) based on the 36-holes score from this event and the Midland Seniors Spring.
