Midlands Past Presidents day
The Midlands Past Presidents annual two day event took place at Patshull Park Golf & County Club on 8th & 9th May and was attended by 14 Past Presidents with their wives & partners.
The event previous held in the autumn was changed to the Spring with the hope of improved weather conditions.The plan worked well , the weather although a light cool breeze was lovely sunshine on both days .
The course was in good condition but the ground was somewhat hard from the current dry spell.
Two of the ladies joined the men for golf with a third lady supporting them from the buggy. The remaining ladies enjoyed afternoon tea at a local garden centre and visited very interesting Bridgnorth with its shops and fortress walls
The over all event winner was John Stubbings ( Warwickshire)
Day 1 winner was David Thomas ( Staffordshire)
Day 2 winner Pete Adams ( Worcestershire)
It was unanimously agreed to hold this event in the Spring next year.
